Getting started

Kemble ships six roles: Owner, Admin, Moderator, Member, Guest and Bot. They are starting points, not fixtures — every one of them is editable, and you can create as many more as you need.

The ones people ask about

• Guest — sees only the channels they were invited to, and cannot start a direct message with anyone.
• Moderator — moderates conversation and voice, but does not manage billing or organization settings.
• Admin — everything except organization settings and billing.

A role can be granted for the whole organization, for one space, or for one channel. The narrowest grant that does the job is the right one.
