Notify anyway
In Kemble Work, when you send a direct message to somebody whose notifications are paused — do not disturb, or outside their working hours — a note under your message says when they are likely to see it. For something that cannot wait, press Notify anyway: that one message reaches them now. You can do it once a day for each person, and only in a direct message to one person. A conversation they muted stays muted, and you are not told which it was.
A link to a live Link
While a Link is live, its card in the conversation and the foot of the sidebar have Copy link. Whoever opens that address lands in the conversation and is told a Link is live there, with Join to press. Following it never joins by itself, and it opens nothing for somebody who could not already see the conversation. If the Link has ended by then, it says so.
Pause notifications until your status clears
Set a status has Pause notifications until it clears. Tick it, and your notifications pause from the moment the status shows until it clears — for a status set now, or one you schedule for later with Choose a start and end time. It needs an end, and a pause can last up to a week. Clearing the status early, or cancelling a scheduled one while it shows, ends the pause with it.
Paused notifications still let a colleague reach you once a day with Notify anyway. You see who did, in the conversation.
