Channels

Set a channel’s type to announcement and posting is restricted to people who can manage that channel. Everyone else reads it, reacts to it, and replies in threads — a reply hangs off the announcement rather than appearing in the channel, so the feed itself stays yours.

It is the right shape for release notes, incident updates and anything where a reply in the main transcript would bury the thing people came to read.
