A thread keeps its replies when its first message is deleted
4 October 2026
In Kemble Work, deleting a thread’s first message no longer hides everybody’s replies: the channel keeps a line saying the message was deleted, with its replies link, and the thread opens as before. The question before deleting says the replies stay. The count under a message moves while you watch — your own reply, other people’s, and deletions.
@channel, @here and @everyone in a reply that stays in its thread notify nobody outside it, and the reply box no longer offers them; tick “Also send to” to reach the channel. On a phone, editing your own reply happens in the thread’s message box, under “Editing message”, with Save in reach above the keyboard.
