A busy channel opens where you stopped reading
2 October 2026
Kemble Work opens a channel with a lot unread at the first message you have not read, with the NEW line above it, and brings in newer messages as you scroll down. What you have scrolled past is marked read as you go, never the messages below that you have not seen. A bar across the top says “240 new messages since 11:15 AM” while where you stopped is above the screen, with Mark as read; Ctrl+J or ⌘J takes you to the first unread message.
Kemble Circle still opens at the newest message, and its “new messages” bar now counts every unread message, however many there are; pressing it brings in the messages around where you stopped and takes you there, and Jump to present brings you back.
Long threads open at their latest replies, with Load earlier replies above them, in both products; a forum post longer than a page loads its earlier replies the same way.
