A link to a message shows the message

In Kemble Work, a link to a message is drawn as a quote for those who can read it, and a #channel in a message keeps pointing at its channel after a rename.

Paste a link to a message and readers see who wrote it, where and when, with its words — each as themselves, so somebody who cannot read the message sees nothing of it. A #channel you write is kept by the channel itself, not its name: rename the channel and the link follows, and a new channel that takes the old name never takes the link.

Search’s top results and the last message shown under each direct message read as the message does, with names in place of @handles and no formatting marks.
