Kemble Work on your phone: banners over a Link, swipes between tabs, and whole tools at any text size

On a phone, a message that arrives during a Link or under a sheet shows its banner on top and takes you there, Notify anyway stays in reach with the keyboard up, and the tabs take a swipe either way.

A direct message or a mention that arrives while a Link fills the screen, or while a profile, a sheet or the Pins tab covers the conversation, shows its banner on top. A tap on it steps the Link down, closes what was over the conversation, and opens it.

With the keyboard up, the local-time note under a direct message stays on one line — the time for the other person, Schedule…, Notify anyway — and the send menu offers to send at a good time for them.

Swipe left on Home, DMs, Activity or Later to go back to the conversation you were in; swipe right to go Home and open the workspace switcher. The DMs tab and the ⌘K palette name the organization of somebody from a connected organization, and a long organization name never pushes the person’s name out.

At a larger text size the message box shows only whole tools; the ones that do not fit are in its + sheet. Copy invite link and Share… show what they did above the sheet’s buttons on a small phone. Clearing or replacing a status ends the pause it started.
