The GIF picker no longer shows “GIFs could not be loaded” on the first dropped connection: it asks again quietly, twice, while the grid’s shape is drawn, and it never asks again when GIF search says it is busy. The sensitive-picture check now runs an open model on Kemble’s own server, so no picture is sent anywhere else for it; it also checks a GIF’s first frame and a video’s opening frame. In Kemble Circle a community’s marked pictures are blurred by default, and in an age-restricted channel you entered they show as they are. A Kemble Work workspace can turn on “Blur pictures marked sensitive” under Preferences › Admin; it is off until an admin turns it on.
kemble.io now has Terms of service, Acceptable use, Cookies, Subprocessors, Security and a Legal notice, gathered under Legal in the footer and in the app’s Settings › About, and a security.txt for researchers. The community page’s join button now comes from the official Kemble community chosen in the staff console, and is checked on every visit.
