Kemble Desktop: a floating call window, one push-to-talk key, and Streamer Mode while you stream

Mini window in Kemble Work and Pop out in Kemble Circle open a small call window that stays above your other windows; the desktop app’s push to talk can use the key you chose in Kemble; Streamer Mode can turn itself on while streaming software runs.

In Kemble Desktop 0.2.4, Mini window in a Kemble Work Link and Pop out in a Kemble Circle call open one small window that stays above your other windows. It holds the call’s own controls — mute, camera, sharing your screen, Deafen in Circle, Leave — and closes when the call ends or you close it, putting you back where you were. It only ever opens when you press the button. A Circle direct message call’s window is named after your friend, and the window keeps the call’s name when you look at another community.

Push to talk in the desktop app now follows the key you chose in Kemble while you have not recorded one of its own, so one key works everywhere; letting go waits your release delay once, and typing that letter into a message never opens your microphone. In Preferences › Games you can let Streamer Mode turn on while streaming software such as OBS Studio runs. It is off until you turn it on, only “running” or “not running” reaches Kemble, and turning Streamer Mode on or off yourself always wins.
