Kemble Circle: stages that seat an audience, screens on the stage, and friend requests where you see them

Everyone arrives on a stage as a listener unless they are given the floor, a speaker’s shared screen shows for the whole stage, and a friend request can be accepted or declined from the profile card.

A stage now seats everyone in the audience when they arrive, except its moderators and people given the floor on that stage. Someone sent back to the audience stays there until the stage ends or they are brought up again. When a speaker shares a screen or goes live, everyone on the stage sees it, including people who arrive late.

A profile card says when someone has sent you a friend request, with Accept and Decline, and every ⋯ menu that offers Accept now offers Decline too. Ctrl+Alt+G starts a group conversation. Presence reads by shape as well as colour: online is a dot, away a crescent, Do not disturb a barred dot and offline a ring.

On a phone, a stream or shared screen that fills the screen keeps Mute and Leave within reach, a ring into a room of more than 25 people says you will join muted, and the Threads list held sideways opens on its first thread.
