Kemble Circle on your phone: hold to talk that holds, leaving quiet groups at once, and knowing when friends come online

Hold to talk can no longer be switched on from the lock screen or a key, a stage’s join bar is one row, you can leave group conversations that have gone quiet in one go, and friends’ arrivals can be shown — off unless you choose.

With hold to talk chosen, only holding the microphone opens it: the lock screen, a keyboard shortcut or another toggle can only close it, and the microphone in the user panel and a call carried into Kemble Work on a tablet are held too.

Direct messages’ ⋯ offers Leave inactive groups, listing the groups that have been quiet for 30 days (or a week, three months or a year), all ticked and ready to leave. Notifications › Friends can tell you when a friend comes online, and tell your friends when you do — both off until you turn them on, at most once a day or every time, never while you are invisible or between people who block or ignore each other.

At the largest text sizes a stage’s join bar is one row, speaker cards, galleries, events and Inbox rows keep their words, age and spoiler gates keep the channel’s name, a direct message on a phone on its side keeps room for the conversation, and a tablet opens a direct message without its profile covering it. Every row of a card’s and a profile’s menus has its icon.
