A community’s listing settings have a Primary language, “Not said” until a steward picks one. Explore has a language list beside the search, starting on Any language, and each card and a community’s preview show its language under its own name. On a computer, a person’s profile card has a box to send them a message without leaving the channel, and every person menu has Start a video call beside Start a call. Ctrl or Cmd with Shift and M or D mutes and deafens outside a room too.
A stage’s audience keeps hearing and seeing a Go Live when they browse away, and a stream from someone you blocked or ignored is held until you choose Show stream. Going live names only a channel the whole community can see. A channel header reads “# general”, not “# #general”. An Enter that only confirms a Japanese or Chinese word no longer picks a suggestion or sends. Animated custom emoji and stickers hold still in reactions and pickers under Reduce motion or with animated emoji off, and move when you point at them. On a phone, the pinned bar stays at a large text, a forum keeps its name whole with its settings in ⋮, channel names wrap only between words, and the message box grows when the text size changes.
