Kemble Circle: direct messages without threads, friends’ nicknames on replies and calls, and whole names at large text

Threads are started in a community’s channels, not in direct messages; a friend’s nickname shows on replies and on their call; a channel’s unread number is read out with its name; names wrap in Members & roles at large text.

A direct message or group DM no longer offers Reply in thread, Create thread or the Threads list, and Kemble refuses a new thread there by any route, including a scheduled first reply and a list item’s comments. A thread a DM already had still opens. Kemble Work’s direct messages keep their threads.

A nickname you gave a friend now also shows on the line above a reply to them, on the Replying to bar, and when they call you in a DM, unless Streamer Mode hides names. A channel showing an unread number says that number with its name to a screen reader. With large text on a phone, names wrap instead of being cut in Members & roles, a role’s holders and Transfer ownership, each community’s Show my activity row reads whole, and Escape in the Community notice puts you back on its button. Turning Show my activity off keeps working in every community you are in, however many.
