Deleting a channel deletes the files attached to its messages, unless something else still shows one or a copy of the workspace is being made. A deleted message’s forwarded quote, link previews and GIF go with it, a deleted forum post takes its title, and K Buddy’s history follows the workspace’s message retention, all kept under a legal hold. A K Buddy routine can no longer post a summary of a private channel or a conversation where more people would read it, and K Buddy’s writing for routines, catch-ups, workflows and a call’s notes drops links that were not in what it read.
While your account deletion waits, your public links to files, your group conversation invite links and your invitations to share a channel with another organization stop working, and come back if you cancel. Widening an app’s reach asks you to confirm it’s you, a file removed by someone else disappears for everyone at once, and a direct message with another organization’s person keeps its files for the shorter of the two settings. The app loads Google and YouTube scripts only from the exact paths it needs.
